‘Slow food’ travel
As the pioneer of slow food travel in the Philippines, Negros Occidental also wants to highlight its own version of food tourism. Slow food travel is an ethical way of tourism that creates a connection between farmers and consumers, shortens the supply chain, and preserves regional food heritage by offering gastronomic experiences through regional culture. In Negros, they see slow food as good, clean, and fair food, all while recognizing the planet, culture, plate, and people.
