The Jollibee Chick’nwich’s new ad: A universal innovation beyond expectation

Along with the Chick’nwich itself is Jollibee’s fresh and equally new level ad that puts the product in a whole new light, a different way from the brand’s other products—and rightfully so, as the Chick’nwich is made to stand out from other chicken sandwiches in the Philippines and around the world.

With the new Jollibee Chick’nwich ad, Jollibee takes its marketing to the next level by recruiting some of the world’s top creative minds in advertising. The ad is conceptualized by ad agency BBH (Bartle Bogle Hegarty) Singapore and shot in Prague by world-renowned Paris-based director and mixed-media artist Louis Nieto, who in turn enlisted the help of London-based director of photography Tim Green and food stylist Elaine Ngan.

Their new level work portrays the Chick’nwich as something like a sleek and dazzling high-tech gadget being unveiled for the first time. With these universal luminaries coming together for an extraordinary Jollibee ad, the end result is something that’s definitely on par with the creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship of international ads.

“When Jollibee and BBH Singapore approached me with their out-of-the-box idea to make the Jollibee Chick’nwich feel like something that’s beyond food, I was definitely intrigued. It excited and fulfilled me to go to great lengths to creatively portray the Chick’nwich as something that’s absolutely must-have and next-level, like a highly anticipated flagship release from our favorite tech brands,” said Nieto.
